How to Make a Dream Catcher

How to Make a beautiful Dream Catcher using Kaisercraft Products. A simple Step By Step Tutorial by Alicia McNamara.

For this project I used the “Wall Art Dream Catcher” Beyond the Page Kit by Kaisercraft.

Step 1

I painted the wood completely white using Gesso Primer.  I find it takes less coats if you use this product instead of white paint.

Step 2

I cut lace to fit behind the star.

Step 3

I glued purple paper blooms into the middle of the star and Pearls at the points.

Step 4

I attached purple crinkly ribbons to the bottom of the dream catcher. On the white ribbons I added flowers I pulled apart from a “Lay” that I bought at a cheap shop and pearl beads to hold them up.

Step 5

Finally I used a white ribbon as a tie at the top of the dream catcher to hang it up.

Making a Dream catcher would make a great holiday activity for the kids to do! They are very easy and lots of fun to make.  I can see the girls loving this activity and the Dream Catchers would make such a pretty decoration in their bedrooms.  You could use whatever colours that suit your daughter’s bedroom decor.

The Kaisercraft Products I used are: SB2425 Wall Art Dream Catcher | F643 Paper Blooms – Amethyst | SB785 Pearls – Lavender | SB794 Pearls – Snow |  Other: Kindy Glitz | White ribbon | Purple Ribbon | Lace | Fabric flowers | Beads |
